Ingredients

7 apples small green apples are great, cored and peeled, sliced thick
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c old fashioned oats not instant oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c flour
1 tbsp cornstarch
Topping
3 tbsp butter melted
1/3 c flour
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c old fashioned oats
1 c water total needed for entire recipe, follow directions

Instructions

Remove skins (or most of them, your choice) from apples, and slice into thick pcs.

Put sliced apples into a bowl. In another bowl add cinnamon, 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 c oats, 3/4 c. brown sugar, and your cornstarch...mix together.

Pour this brown sugar/oats mixture into the bowl with your sliced apples and mix well until apples are coated.

Spray the inside of your pot with non stick spray. Pour 1/2 c. of  water in your Instant Pot.

Pour coated apple mixture into your Instant Pot or pressure cooker.

In a small bowl melt butter, then add 1/3 c. flour, 1/2 c. brown sugar and 1/4 c. oats, mix well until it becomes a thick crumble.

Sprinkle on top of apples inside your Instant Pot. Pour remaining 1/2 c. water or apple cider on top of everything.

Put lid on and close steam valve. Set to manual, pressure, high for 6 minutes.

Do a quick release and serve immediately or immediately pour into a bowl so it doesn't continue to cook and get mushy.
